Beyond the Resistance: Learning to Face Adversity
from Grace Acres Press
GAP0002 (High School, Staff Room)
ISBN: 9781602650114
While playing defensive end for the Wheaton College football team, I noticed that I was always in the middle of the play - in the middle of where I was supposed to be - whenever I ran into resistance. I also noticed that when there was no resistance - when I was left alone - I was either getting set up or totally out of the play. I learned early to recognize the resistance and turn into it. Each and every time I rushed the resistance, I was significant in the eventual outcome of that play. I have found this principle to hold true in life as well. Where I encounter resistance, I usually find something going on that is significant in the Kingdom work.

Beyond the Compass: Learning to See the Unseen
from Grace Acres Press
GAP0003 (High School, Staff Room)

At the many "intersections" of life, I need to trust the directions of those who have already been there, who know the way and are guided by something or someone that will never change. Beyond the Deception: Learning to Defend the Truth
from Grace Acres Press
GAP0004 (High School, Staff Room)
ISBN: 9781602650138
One day I found a jigsaw puzzle piece lying on my desk. I knew that I had used the idea of a jigsaw puzzle before, in attempting to explain how one particular something fits into the whole, so to see this piece lying on my desk was no big deal. That is, until I started really looking at this little piece. As I looked at it, I began to wonder. I wondered about the picture of which this was a part. I tried to decide or imagine what the picture was, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't figure it out. I just didn't have enough information. I have realized that I must often ask the One who made the puzzle for information about how the pieces fit together.

Beyond the Expectations: Learning to Obey
from Grace Acres Press
GAP0005 (High School, Staff Room)
ISBN: 9781602650145
The student, the homemaker, the business man...wondering what went wrong. The gap between what is expected in life and what is realized is what is called the "misery index," and this young lady has developed quite an index. Because we frequently base our lives on what we understand, hope for, and dream about, we are often disappointed in what really happens or what is actually delivered. We do not control all the variables. In fact, there is much more that we do not control than we do control. There is a great deal that we need to understand that we do not and cannot understand.

Life Before Death: A Restored, Regenerated, and Renewed Life
from Grace Acres Press
GAP0006 (High School, Staff Room)
ISBN: 9781602650220
This is biblical Christianity! This isn't a different perspective: this is a biblical perspective. We are constantly having to separate cultural Christianity from biblical Christianity, and it is very difficult at times. When people have always done something one way, they assume that their way is correct, the only way. Maybe you got up and put on your Christian suit and mask and went to church or work or school, not wanting anyone to know what you are really like inside. Yet inside, you are no more a Christian than you are able to fly. If it is not real life on the inside, it is fake on the outside.

The contents are a condensation of the vital areas of Systematic Theology, presented, in simple style and language. We hope that it can become a little "handbook" to which you can refer when you wish to check out Biblical teachings. It is far from being exhaustive but it does introduce critical subjects and perhaps will encourage you to delve into greater depths in various subjects, perhaps by starting an in-depth study of the books listed in our Bibliography.
